Engine 481
Engine
481 is the initial response unit for most calls from the Headquarters
Station. It is a Pierce 61 ft. Sky Boom with a 1500 GPM pump,
a 200 CFM Compressed Air Foam System, a 600 gallon tank and
45 gallons of foam. It is on a Dash 2000 chassis with fully
enclosed 6 place crew seating. There are two master streams,
one on the boom and a deck gun. The hosebed carries 1200 ft.
of five inch supply line and 600 ft. of 2 1/2 line and has
4 preconnected handlines.

Aerial
Tower - Engine 491
This
ladder truck is equipped with a 95' aerial bucket ladder.
This allows victims to be rescued while fire fighters man
the spray hoses.

Telesquirt
- Engine 484
Engine
484 is typically the first vehicle out on fire calls. It is
equipped with a 55' aerial "squirt" which allows
water to be sprayed via the ladder assembly.

Rescue
Engine 482
Rescue
Engine 482 is the primary unit to respond to rescue calls
involving car wrecks, entrapments, car fires, and to assist
the ambulance crews. It has an assortment of hydraulic, electrical,
and air powered tools, is equipped with an uphaul rope system
to bring injured patients up slopes and has a winch. It is
also responsible for water supply for structure fires and
has a Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) installed that uses
Class A or B foam.

Engine
483 is the first out Engine for rescue calls from the Tabernash
Station.

Twin
Water Tenders 461 and 463
The
Twin Water Tenders have 3 way dump capability for our water
shuttle system as well as a pump and roll PTO fire pump for
wildfires. The front preconnects and Sidewinder water monitors
can discharge foam while
stopped or moving. The drop down folding portable water tank
is used to store water on scene so the Tankers can go for
more. They carry a full complement of wildfire handtools,
saws, hoselines, and portable pumps.

Ford 1-ton muli-purpose truck is equipped with a skid-load
for summer wildire fighting and a snow plow for winter plowing.

GMC Yukon with seating for eight that is used for personnel
transport.

Engine 464 is
a 6x6 pumper truck that carries a 2000 gallon porta tank,
primarily used to fight wild fires.

Tender 465 is a reserve unit.

473 is the primary wildfire response unit for the Tabernash

Two vehicles are permanently stationed at EGF headquarters.

works closely with EGFD in rescue situations.

Grand Engine 488
The Lafrance Restoration Project
The
engine has been rebuilt and the pump is next. The engine
is an American Lafrance built in Elmira New York in 1930
for the Rushville Neb. Fire Department. It was purchased
by the Fraser Volunteer Fire Dept. in the early 60's and
was in use until 1971. It has a 500 GPM pump, a 6 cylinder
Buick engine, and originally had an 80 gallon water tank.
It has been used as a parade truck by the District since
1983.
